 The Alex Fleming Memorial Monster Bowl

     On the evening of Sunday, October 25^th, our current JSL members (classes of 2010 and 2011) will be having a ghoulishly good time as they bowl under black lights, dine on pizza, enjoy great music and win fabulous prizes. They will be participating in the JSL’s one and only annual Fund-raiser – The Alex Fleming Memorial Monster Bowl. The funds that are raised by the Junior Symphony League at this frightfully fun event assist the Tyler Youth Orchestra with expenses for materials, instruction, and equipment, as well as endowing music education in our community. Additional funds may also go toward a future ETSO pops concert!

     We are looking forward to another scarily-successful year and need your help! Our goal is to underwrite the ghastly cost of this electrifying event, so that 100% of the money raised through JSL member pledges can be spent on music education.

 Here’s how you can help:

1.        Call a JSL member that you know - or even one that you don’t know – and offer to make a pledge. All JSL members are listed in your WSL Handbook. Each student is required to raise at least $50 and your donation will help them reach their individual goal; and/or
2.       Fill out the attached form and send a donation to help defray the event’s expenses, which include food, drinks, bowling alley rental, prizes, decorations, DJ, etc..

 This bowl-a-thon is a fun, casual evening for the kids to enjoy, while learning the value of volunteering and the importance of fund raising. We are looking forward to a wickedly wonderful event and hope that you will consider making a contribution on behalf of these hard-working students.  Any amount is appreciated – EVERY donation counts. With a membership of over 700, if every WSL member contributed only $10 we could easily cover the expense of this event with plenty to “spare.”
