The Tyler Chamber Chorale THE TYLER CHAMBER CHORALE (formerly the Tyler Civic Chorale), now celebrating its 40th anniversary, was organized to bring the finest choral music to Tyler and East Texas. The literature sung represents a wide range of styles and periods of music. The chorale is made up of singers whose varied professions include music, medical, educational, legal, and technical careers. Their common love of music motivates them to volunteer and practice many hours each season in order to communicate the experience of “live” choral music. DUNCAN currently serves as Artistic Director of the Tyler Chamber Chorale, having served previously as Executive Director of the ensemble. In this capacity he conducts rehearsals, performances, and provides guidance for the artistic direction of the chorale. Mr. Duncan is Director of Music Ministry at First Presbyterian Church, where he oversees a varied ministry for children, youth and adults. His previous appointments include Precentor at Christ Episcopal Church, Tyler and Director of Music at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio, as well as Artistic Director of the San Antonio Boy Choir. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Lyon College, and a Master of Music degree in Sacred Music from the University of Memphis. |
