President’s Letter

Music is life’s joy! – Cristhian Marulande
“Music acts like a key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.”
—Maria von Trapp
“Keys” Unlocking Traditions** is the theme for our 2025–2026 year. Together, we will celebrate the “Keys” to our past, the “Keys” to our community, the “Keys” to our membership, and the “Keys” to symphonic music.
Thank you for being a member of the Women’s Symphony League of Tyler. Each of you plays a “Key” role in the success of our organization. The WSL depends wholeheartedly on the dedication, talents, and generosity of our members to fulfill our mission of supporting the East Texas Symphony Orchestra and promoting music education.
This year, we will host three exciting fundraisers, and I am deeply grateful for your support. Whether you attend, volunteer, serve as a connector, make a donation, or become a sponsor, your contributions have a direct impact on our success. We’ll begin with Fall Fresh and Friends on October 7th, where we will gather for fellowship and our General Meeting on the patio of FRESH by Brookshire’s. On April 11th, we will honor our Junior Symphony League members with our largest event of the year, the WSL Ball: Symphony in Bloom, A Rose City Ball. Finally, we’ll close our year with friendship and fun at our Fiesta Mexicana on May 5th. Each of these events will be memorable celebrations made possible by your involvement.
As we step into this year, let us keep these “Keys” close to our hearts and continue to unlock new opportunities for service, music, and community through the Women’s Symphony League of Tyler.
With gratitude and excitement,
Stacey Hardin Hiles
